Preparation and Mesh Stretching
Material Selection:Choose the polyester mesh based on the design's intricacy; use 100–150 mesh for standard printing, and 200 mesh or higher for fine lines.
Tension Control:Uniformly stretch the mesh to 18–25 N/cm² (with a tolerance of no more than 1 N/cm²) and secure it to a metal or wooden frame.
Post-processing:Allow it to set for 24 hours to ensure a secure bond, trim away excess mesh from outside the frame, and clean off any residual old adhesive or ink.
Mesh Degreasing and Emulsion Coating
Degreasing: Repeatedly wipe both sides of the mesh with a neutral degreaser to remove surface oils and dust; then, gently wipe with a lint-free cloth and let dry to enhance emulsion adhesion.
Double-sided Coating: Apply the photosensitive emulsion evenly to both sides of the mesh, ensuring uniform thickness to avoid uneven coating.
Drying: Place the coated screen in a drying oven and dry thoroughly at a low temperature of approximately 40°C; excessive heat can prematurely compromise the emulsion's properties.
